Fall 2026 Edition:
The Duat
In ancient Egypt, the setting sun entered the Duat—the mysterious realm through which the sun god Ra traveled each night between sunset and sunrise.
Ra entered the Duat in his solar barque, carrying the light of the sun into the darkness.
He didn’t make the journey alone.
A retinue of goddesses and gods guided and protected him through the night as he encountered the beings, forces, and mysteries of the underworld.
Ra also brought light to the beings of the Duat, sustaining their existence and their work.
And by morning, the sun was regenerated.
Through a psychological lens, this journey offers another possibility:
What happens when we carry the light of our awareness into a realm that’s been hidden from view?
What might become visible there?
What might be re-membered?
Reclaimed?
And through a sociological lens, we can become curious about the social forces that shape us.
Family.
Relationships.
School.
Media.
Religion.
Culture.
Society.
The messages we’ve received—and often absorbed—about who we’re supposed to be and how we’re supposed to live.
We may want to keep some of what we find.
And we may want to leave some things behind.
That’s ours to decide.
One Long Night
In the Amduat, Ra’s solar barque traveled through the twelve hours of the Duat between sunset and sunrise.
Over the first six weeks, we travel through those twelve hours together—two hours each gathering.
The journey doesn't pause when our weekly circles end.
It continues in your dreams.
Your relationships.
What you begin to notice.
Your everyday life.
The Night Boat isn't six separate nights.
It's one long night, traveled over six weeks.
Each night builds upon the last.
Throughout the voyage, we move through symbolic death, release, re-membering, reclaiming, regeneration, and rebirth.
And we engage with what you encounter along the way.
On the seventh week, we gather at the eastern horizon to welcome the dawn, harvest the gifts of the journey, and consider how we’ll carry them into our lives.

Everything in the Night Boat initiation, plus the Temple Circle—a weekly online circle for reflection, witnessing, and integration.

These private sessions offer a more intimate level of accompaniment, creating space to prepare for the journey, tend to what arises as it unfolds, harvest the wisdom of your initiation, and carry it into life beyond the Night Boat.

A few things you may be wondering…

The mythology offers a symbolic map for the journey, but you don't need to know the map to make the crossing.
Whether the stories feel deeply familiar or entirely new, the invitation is the same: to explore your own inner landscape.

Life happens.
While I encourage you to attend every gathering if you can, I understand that unexpected things arise.
If you're unable to join us live, you'll receive a recording so you can revisit the journey in your own time.
While watching a recording isn't quite the same as being in the live circle, the Night Boat welcomes you back whenever you're able to return.
Remember—the work isn't limited to our time together.
It unfolds in the days between our gatherings, too.

The Night Boat isn't about forcing release.
It's about listening for what is already asking to be laid down.

It's an initiation.
Some participants describe it as deeply therapeutic, but our focus isn't diagnosis or treatment.
It's creating a ritual container where you can encounter yourself with curiosity and sovereignty.
